Profiles of US Hispanics by Country of Origin

  • Hispanics represent approximately 15% of the US population, and identify with an array of countries of origin across Latin America.
  • Profiles have been created for the 10 largest population groups to describe the demographic, employment and income characteristics.

    • The largest population group, accounting for two-thirds of Hispanics, identify as being of Mexican origin.
    • The other population groups account for about a third of the Hispanic population.
